Community Group Registration
Registration of Self –Help Group and CBOs- The Directorate mobilizes and registers self-help groups and Community–based organizations in the all Sub-counties and 53 Huduma centers across the country as well as Integrated Groups for Refugees.
The groups are linked to state, non-state actors and Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) for support.
REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION OF A CBO
- Name search
- Minutes of the meeting seeking registration and showing elected officials MUST be attached to the Application form.
- List of members duly signed with Name/Position/ID No./Mobile No. and Signatures MUST be attached to the Application form.
- The Application form MUST be accompanied by the CBOs Constitution.
- Attach ID Copies of all members
- The Application form MUST be accompanied by a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) where CBO is formed through amalgamation (i.e. where several groups come together to form an umbrella organization).
- Attach the original certificates of the affiliate group who are amalgamating.
- Pay Approved Registration fee of Ksh.5, 000/=.
After registration, the CBO MUST adhere to the following;
- Renew the Certificate Annually
- Submit Quarterly Progress Reports to the Registering Authority
- Allow accessibility of records to the Registering Authority upon request or when demanded to do so
NOTE: Failure to adhere to the above requirements will lead to Non-registration/De registration, all this is done at Sub county Level
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE REGISTRATION OF A GROUP
- Name search
- Minutes of the meeting seeking registration and showing elected officials MUST be attached to the application forms.
- List of All members duly signed with Name/Position/Mobile. No/ID No. and Signatures MUST be attached to the application forms.
- ID copies for all members.
- Application Form MUST be accompanied by the Group Constitution.
- Pay Approved Registration fee of Ksh.1, 000/=
NOTE:
After Registration, the Group Must adhere to the following;
- Renew the Certificate annually after the first two years of registration.
- Submit Annual Progress Reports to the Director Social Development
- Allow accessibility of records to the Director Social Development upon request or when demanded to do so.
Failure to adhere to the above requirements will result to Non-registration/Deregistration, all this done at Sub county level
